Privacy Policy

This website is mainly an informational landing page for the [G]uardians gaming community. It does not include user accounts, public profile pages, or a completed on-site application system.

If you contact us through community platforms such as Discord or TeamSpeak, those services may process information under their own policies.

If the optional Guardians Discord bot is enabled, Discord slash command interactions are processed by this site's backend. For play-now session posts, the backend stores the Discord message and channel IDs, responding user IDs, display names, response choices, and timestamps needed to keep the session buttons accurate.

If you use the Steam comparison tool, the profile URLs or IDs you submit are sent to this site's server and then to Valve's Steam Web API only to fetch public profile and owned-games data for that comparison.

Each page you open sends one request to our own statistics service. It stores:

  • your IP address
  • your browser's full user agent, and the browser, operating system and device type read from it
  • the page address, its language and the site name
  • the referring website (domain only) and the utm_source and utm_campaign tags of the link you followed, if any
  • the time of the visit

We use this to see which pages people visit and how they find the site, and to recognise and block abusive traffic. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. No cookies, no local storage and no third-party tracking services are involved, and the data is not shared or sold. IP addresses and user agents are deleted after 30 days. The remaining entries no longer point to a person and are kept for long-term statistics. You can object at any time by contacting the administrators.

We do not run advertising, third-party analytics, or a custom member database on this site. Outside the optional Discord bot session response records described above, we avoid storing community-member data in this site's database. If you want something corrected or removed from content we control, contact the administrators.

We have no control over how third-party services handle data once you leave this site, even if we link to them.
